What is SAARC?
SAARC –South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation- is an economic and political regional organization of countries in South Asia, established in 1985.. SAARC comprises 3% of the world’s land area, 21% of the world’s population, and 5.21% (USD 4.47 trillion) of the global economy, as of 2021
Its objectives are to promote the welfare of the peoples of South Asia and to improve their quality of life, and to accelerate economic growth and social development in its member states through increased intra-regional cooperation.
SAARC aims to promote active collaboration and mutual assistance in the economic, social, cultural, technical, and scientific fields
Cooperation in SAARC is based on respect for the five principles of sovereign equality, territorial integrity, political independence, non-interference in internal affairs of the Member States, and mutual benefit
SAARC Summits are held annually, and the country hosting the Summit holds the Chair of the Association

What is ASEAN?

Its objectives are to accelerate economic growth, social progress, and cultural development in the region through joint endeavors in the spirit of equality and partnership.
ASEAN aims to promote regional peace and stability, and to enhance collaboration and mutual assistance in the economic, social, cultural, technical, and scientific fields
ASEAN operates on the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of member states, and decisions are made by consensus
ASEAN has a free trade area and has signed free trade agreements with several countries, including China, Japan, South Korea, India, and Australia

What is SAECO?
South and Southeast Asia Enhanced Cooperation Organization
SAECO is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that aims to promote sustainable and mutually beneficial collaborations between Iran and ASEAN and SAARC countries in various fields of cooperation, including culture and art, science and technology (Hi-tech), agriculture, tourism, transportation, education and scholarship, IT, ICT, AI, aviation, financing and investment, and media literacy.
SAECO aims to accelerate economic growth, social progress, and cultural development in the region by providing all individuals the opportunity to live in dignity and realize their full potential. SAECO also aims to contribute to mutual trust, understanding, and appreciation of one another’s problems and promote active collaboration and mutual assistance in the economic, social, cultural, technical, and scientific fields.
Vision:
To promote sustainable and mutually beneficial collaborations between Iran and ASEAN and SAARC countries in various fields of cooperation, fostering economic growth, social progress, and cultural development in the region.
Mission:
